Summary:
Contra-dance instruction manual with dance notation, a description of the dance figures, and music (dance tune without harmony or figured bass) for bass and violin. Title page includes a picture of a man running or dancing near a flying balloon. Possibly a reference to Jacques Alexandre Charles' balloon, "The Globe," which landed at Gonesse, France, August, 27, 1783, and frightened the villagers

NASMRB facsimile copy mq1688316 has red stamps of former owner: "N.Y. Public Library Picture Collection" on recto, at foot of the title page, and "Property of the New York Public Library Picture Collection" on verso. Also stamped "Exhibitions" with "#45" (in pencil) on verso
NASMRB has another facsimile copy (4 sheets) with descriptive captions in Italian at the bottom of each page. NASMRB also has a sheet with a negative image of the recto of the publication
