    Petition concerning the noble status of the de Ardança or Ardanza family of Sigüenza, Spain.
    Title from first words of text.
    The manuscript is dated 1604 on p. [106] and [108].
    "De la mano y pluma de Manuel Elbira"--P. [80]; the final 5 p. are informally-written notes signed by Donisio Elbira.
    "Executoria original de hidalguia empropiedad a pedimiento de Geronimo de Ardança ve zi de la ciudad de Siguenca"--P. 108.
    The names Juan de Ardança, Francisco de Ardança, and Francisco Ximénez appear on the final 2 p.

    SCDIRB copy 39088010381010 has original limp vellum binding with exposed sewn bands on spine; contemporary ms. ink inscriptions on cover; red silk ribbon page marker; and all edges gilt; housed in a later blue cloth-covered box for preservation.
